Voter registration this week at town hall

Election day, November 4th, is rapidly approaching. Anyone desiring to vote must be properly registered including having the correct address on file with the Board of Elections.
Residents of Peru, AuSable and Black Brook desiring to vote in the November elections have the opportunity to register to vote this week. Registrations will be taken at the Peru Town Hall on Tuesday, October 7th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, October 11th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Mail registrations must be postmarked no later than October 10th and received by the Board of Elections no later than October 15th.
To register in person at the Board of Elections in the Clinton County Government Building in Plattsburgh, applications must be received no later than October 10th, except if you have been discharged from the military or have become a naturalized citizen since October 10th in which case you may register at the Board of Elections up until October 24th.
Absentee ballots must be postmarked by November 3rd and received at the Board of Elections no later than November 11th. They may be delivered in person by November 4th.
Voter applications from military members not previously registered must be received by October 24th. If previously registered, applications can be received until October 28th.
The last day to apply in person for a general election ballot if previously registered is November 3rd.
Any change of address from registered voters must be received by October 15th and processed and entered into records in time for the general election.
