Town Board Organizational Meeting scheduled for January 12th

The Peru Town Board conducted a brief meeting on December 29th. The Board approved the 2009 Town Employee Handbook which includes the retiree health insurance options discussed at the Board’s last meeting. The town will pay 100% of one plan and retirees will have the option of paying approximately 10% of the policy premium for a lower deductible plan. The Board approved payment of year-end bills, certain budget transfers and scheduled its 2009 organizational meeting for Monday, January 12 at 6:30 p.m. When the organizational meeting concludes the regular meeting will begin.
