Campsite Rd. variance and Pasquales expansion on the Zoning Board agenda
By John T. Ryan
The Town of Peru Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct its monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Peru Town Hall at 7 p.m. Code Enforcement Office Paul Blaine states that Patricia Pugh of 15 Campsite Rd. is seeking an area variance for a 16’ X 17’ shelter for her horse and goats. Blaine reported that the shelter has been erected without the required building permit and in violation of section 316 of the zoning ordinance which addresses agricultural uses and their location. A site visit determined that the project will require a 40’ variance from setback for the front lot line and a 20’ variance from setback for the back lot line.
Scott Bazzano, owner of Pasquales Restaurant, is requesting a variance for a retaining wall and walk-in cooler at 2931 Main St. According to Mr. Blaine this is a 100% area variance for setback from property lines to place a retaining wall on the property line for the Pasquale’s pizza shop to provide for better parking and two variances for setback from property lines to add a walk in cooler to his take out service location on the same property.
