Clinton County real estate sales trend continues while Essex County trend brightens

Statistics released by the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR) indicate the existing single family home sales in Clinton County continue to decline compared to the previous year. May sales in Essex County on the other hand increased by over 80% compared to 2008. The homes that are being sold in Clinton County appear to be in the lower price ranges with a May 2009 median price of $131,750 compared to a May 2008 median price of $154,100. This is a trend that has been in place for several months. Here are the NYSAR statistics for Clinton, Essex, Jefferson and Warren Counties:
