Catholic Diocese announces clergy reassignments and retirements – Peru native Rev. Philip Allen is retiring

The following pastoral changes for the Diocese of Ogdensburg will take place on Wednesday, September 30, 2009:

St. Patrick’s Church and St. Anthony’s Church in Watertown, NY, will be linked.  Reverend Donald A. Robinson will remain Pastor of St. Anthony’s Church and is named Administrator of St. Patrick’s Church.  Deacon Kevin T. Mastellon, Pastoral Associate at St. Patrick’s Church will become Pastoral Life Coordinator of St. Patrick’s Church.

St. Edmund’s Church in Ellenburg, New York, and St. Bernard’s Church in Lyon Mountain will be linked.  Reverend Theodore A. Crosby will remain Pastor of St. Bernard’s and is named Administrator of St. Edmund’s Church.

Reverend Arthur J. LaBaff, Pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Watertown, is named Administrator of St. Mary’s Church in Clayton and St. John the Evangelist Church in LaFargeville.

Reverend John J. Looby, Pastor of St. Edmund’s in Ellenburg, is named Administrator of The Catholic Community of Burke and Chateaugay.

Reverend Philip T. Allen, Pastor of The Catholic Community of Holy Name and St. Matthew, AuSable Forks and Black Brook, with the mission of St. Margaret’s Church in Wilmington, is retiring.

Reverend Kris C. Lauzon, Pastor of Holy Name Church and St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake, is named Administrator of The Catholic Community of Holy Name and St. Matthew, AuSable Forks and Black Brook, with the mission of St. Margaret’s Church in Wilmington.

Reverend Joseph W. Elliott, Pastor of The Roman Catholic Community of St. Alexander and St. Joseph, Morrisonville and Treadwells Mill, is named Administrator of The Catholic Community of St. Philip of Jesus and St. Joseph, Willsboro and Essex.

Reverend Scott R. Seymour, Pastor of The Catholic Community of St. Philip of Jesus and St. Joseph, Willsboro and Essex, is named Administrator of The Roman Catholic Community of St. Alexander and St. Joseph, Morrisonville and Treadwells Mill.

Reverend Raymond J. Moreau, Pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Colton with its missions of St. Paul’s Church, South Colton and St. Michael’s Church, Parishville, is named Administrator of Holy Name Church and St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake.

Reverend Bryan D. Stitt, Administrator of St. Mary’s Church in Clayton and St. John the Evangelist Church in LaFargeville, is named Administrator of St. Patrick’s Church in Colton with its missions of St. Paul’s Church, South Colton and St. Michael’s Church, Parishville.  Father Stitt remains Associate Vocation Director.

Reverend Martin E. Cline, Parochial Vicar of Malone Catholic Parishes, is named Administrator of St. Mary’s of the Fort Church, Fort Covington, St. Patrick’s Church, Hogansburg, and St. Joseph’s Church, Bombay, replacing Reverend Floyd J. Bleaux, recently deceased.

Reverend Bernard D. Menard, Parochial Vicar of Sacred Heart Church in Massena and St. Lawrence Church in Louisville, is named Parochial Vicar of Malone Catholic Parishes.

Reverend Francis J. Coryer has resigned as Pastor of The Catholic Community of Burke and Chateaugay.  He will remain in active ministry with assignment yet to be determined.
