Congressman Owens Joins the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus

WASHINGTON – Congressman Bill Owens today announced that he has joined the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, a bipartisan group of Members who are committed to protecting and promoting the interests of sportsmen and wildlife professionals in Upstate New York and across the nation.

“I am proud to serve as a member of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, a group that supports our hunters and fishermen, and fights for the issues that affect them the most. Upstate sportsmen contribute to our local economy and help to create jobs in our community,” added Owens. “I am happy to join them in working to advance our area.”
Founded in 1989, the bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus has grown into one of the largest caucuses in the US Congress with nearly 300 members representing almost all 50 states. With bipartisan leadership in both the House and the Senate, the Caucus is the sportsmen’s ally and first line of defense in Washington promoting and protecting the rights of hunters, trappers and anglers. The goal of the caucus is to facilitate communications and information exchange between participating members, developing a resource base for sportsmen policy issues.
