Salaries set and appointments made

The Peru Town Board conducted its 2011 Organizational Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2010. Actions included the following:
Approved a resolution setting 2011 salaries for elected positions: $6,298.50 council members, Supervisor $22,179, Town Clerk-Tax Collector $21,969, Town Justice $16,614.50, Highway Superintendent $50,638.
Approved a resolution setting salaries/wage rates for appointed officials: Water-Sewer Treatment Superintendent $58,873, Code-Zoning Enforcement Officer $41,375, Supervisor’s Confidential Secretary $34,608, Receptionist $14.31/hr., Clerk to Town Justices $37,700, Deputy Supervisor $1,224, Budget Officer $1,224, Zoning Planning Typist $11.27/hr., Water-Sewer Typist $16.53/hr., Deputy Town Clerk-Tax Collector $15.00/hr., Recreation Director $18,027, Assistant Recreation Director $1,500, Dog Control Officer $9,368.
Appointed council members as liaisons to the various departments/positions:
- Planning and Zoning – Jim Douglass and Susan Polhemus
- Water & Sewer – Jim Douglass and Kregg Bruno
- Highway – Brandy McDonald and Susan Polhemus
- Parks & Recreation – Brandy McDonald and Kregg Bruno
- Youth Commission – Jim Douglass and Brandy McDonald
- Comprehensive Planning – Brandy McDonald and Kregg Bruno
- Library – Susan Polhemus
- Dog Control – Kregg Bruno
- Town Justices – Jim Douglass and Susan Polhemus
Set 2011 meeting dates and times. All meetings with the exception of October 6th and December 30th will be held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Meetings will begin at 7 p.m. with the exception of December 30th when the meeting will be held at 8 a.m.
Approved all 2011 contracts regrading JCEO, Webmaster, town hall cleaning, legal, engineering, etc.
Approved an employee milage reimbursement rate of $.50 per mile
The meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
