Peru Central PTO sponsoring School Board candidate forum
The Peru Central School District grades kindergarten through fifth grade Parent Teacher Organization is sponsoring a Wednesday, May 11th public forum at 6:30 PM at Peru Intermediate School’s combination gymnasium-auditorium space.
Peru Central’s Board of Education is a seven-member board. Four individuals recently submitted petitions for the upcoming annual vote and election. Each of those four individuals is running for the seat that becomes vacant July 1st on Peru Central’s Board of Education. The candidate who garners the highest number of votes in the May 17th election will fill that vacant seat, beginning July 1st, according to Peru Central Superintendent of Schools A. Paul Scott.
The candidate forum will feature an interactive process by which individuals who listen in will be able to submit follow-up questions for board candidates that evening.
By doing so, the Parent Teacher Organization hopes to actively engage all who attend the May 11th candidate forum at 6:30 PM in the Peru Intermediate School’s combination gymnasium-auditorium, according to Superintendent Scott.
