Notice to Peru residents regarding swimming pool, spa and hot tub regulations

The Town of Peru Codes Office is in the process of updating their records and to remind residents of the New York State Swimming Pools, Spas & Hot Tub Regulations.

All swimming pools, spas and hot tubs NEED:

  1. A Building Permit.
  2. A barrier (fence/gate/etc.).
  3. An Alarm.
  4. Must meet area set-back requirements.
  5. Certificate of Compliance upon inspection.

If you have a swimming pool, spa or hot tub in place and did NOT obtain a permit please do so by contacting the Codes Office.  If you did obtain a permit but did NOT have it inspected please contact the Codes Enforcement Officer/Frank C. Slycord @ 643-2745×3 to schedule an inspection in order to obtain a Certificate of Compliance for the safety of your family and community.  Thank you. Please see Appendix G of the 2010 Residential Code of New York State.
