NCCCA announces Mayor’s Cup events at the Arts Center; Landlubber activities at the Arts Center
The North Country Cultural Center for the Arts announces its companion offerings to the City of Plattsburgh’s 35th Annual Mayor’s Cup Regatta and Festival. This year’s activities include the Jumpin’ in July Concert Series, Family Activities on the lawn of the Arts Center and the launching of the new Adirondack Coast ARTWays project.
“We love how the city comes alive during the Mayor’s Cup celebration, and are excited to offer “Landlubber Activities” as companion events to the waterfront activities,” says Janine Scherline, Executive Director NCCCA. “We will host activities for all ages and interests, from music to art and family oriented events.”
“On July 12th we invite the community to join us for the unveiling of the Adirondack Coast ARTWays’ Project winner. The theme for the inaugural submission of artwork for the program is “set sail” so it fits in perfectly with the Mayor’s Cup,” says Scherline. “ Also on July 12th, as part of our ongoing Jumpin’ in July Concert Series, we will have music on the front lawn at the Arts Center featuring the Jack Grace Band from Brooklyn, NY. And we invite all ages to join us on July 14th from 10am-4pm for a full day of Family Arts Activities, Artisan Vendors and Entertainment including Medieval Jousters, magic and more.”
