Owens announces USDA funding for Black Brook
BLACK BROOK – Congressman Bill Owens announced today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has made funding available to the Town of Black Brook to repair a water district that incurred damages due to flooding from Hurricane Irene in August 2011.
“This funding is critical as we work to repair infrastructure after Hurricane Irene,” said Owens. “Sound investments like this will help our friends and neighbors rebuild and get small business owners back on their feet.” The USDA Rural Development Grant will provide $150,000 to the Town of Black Brook. This funding is in addition to a State Revolving Fund HELP Loan of $1,000,000.
