Mouth-watering chicken and biscuits to be served on Oct. 14th
On Sunday October 14th any time between 4:00 and 6:30pm, bring your family and meet your friends at the Harkness United Methodist Church Hall, 776 Hallock Hill Road, Peru (corner of Harkness & Hallock Hill Roads) to enjoy one of the North Country’s most delicious traditions; the Harkness United Methodist Church’s Chicken & Biscuit Dinner. This is the 105th year that the church has presented this mouth-watering feast for fans who come from far and wide to savor the chicken & biscuit meal, served with mashed potatoes, gravy, squash, peas, cole slaw, beverages and cake for dessert.
This event was previously known as the “Chicken Pie Supper”; however, to the best of anyone’s recollection, it has always been a chicken & biscuit meal. The church’s Chicken Committee felt that after 104 years it was time to set the record straight, so in the interest of “truth in advertising”, the supper has been accurately re-named. New name, same location, same outstanding supper- same great price! Dinners for Adults are $8.00, Seniors pay $7.00, Children ages 6 – 12 are $4.00, and Pre-schoolers eat free. Take-out meals are available. If you are able, please bring a donation of non-perishable food for our Food Shelf collection. Last year 169 lbs. was collected. Hope to see you there!
