“Peru’s Busy Past” Exhibit Opening
Many local people joined the Clinton County Historical Association and the Town of Peru Historians as they opened the new exhibit Peru’s Busy Past. Guest Curators, Ron and Carol Allen, Town of Peru Co-Historians, worked with Julie Dowd, CCHA Board Member, to create an exhibit that highlights the history of Peru, NY. Topics covered include the lumber industry, churches, schools, first settlers and much more.
The Peru Gazette made a brief visit to the “Peru’s Busy Past” exhibit today. The exhibit was wonderful! It includes many photos and historical items we’ve never seen before. You still have plenty of time to see the exhibit which will be on display at the Clinton County Historical Museum, 98 Ohio Avenue on the former Plattsburgh Air Force “Old” Base for the next year. The museum is open Wednesday – Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM.
