Plattsburgh, NY — The Walk of Hope & Spring Festival, Saturday, May 25th, 9:30am to 2:00pm at Trinity Park is registering walkers, donors, and volunteers at www.alsraisinghope.org. Participants will raise funds and awareness to end all neurodegenerative disease, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ALS, and Huntington’s.
Plan on a day of family fun, food and live music provided by The Lake Champlain Mass Choir, Jeezum Crow and the Vennilators, The Great Adirondack Soup Co, My Cup of Tea, The Pepper, Koffee Kat, Artist/Artisans’ Boutique, pony rides, facepainting and bounce house. These are just a few of the local restaurants and performers who will be offering their finest fare and entertainment to make this Spring Festival a day to remember.
The walk and Spring Festival is a community-wide event, involving walkers, sponsors, volunteers, and local businesses, coming together to be part of the cure and to celebrate the courage and determination of the patients and families who face these diseases.
Last year’s walk raised over $94,000 and this year we’re again hoping to reach $100,000. The ALS Raising HOPE Foundation, in solidarity with several other local support groups, is hosting this event and funds raised will benefit research at MassGeneral Institute for Neurodegenerative Disease (MIND).
