Democrats nominate their town office candidates
By John T. Ryan
Town of Peru Democrats caucused on Thursday, July 11th and nominated the following individuals for town office:
Town Supervisor – Kregg Bruno
Superintendent of Highways – Michael Farrell
Town Council – James Douglass
Town Council – Lana Knight
Town Justice – James Kirby
Town Clerk/Tax Collector – John Facteau
It is possible that some of the nominated individuals may withdraw or decide to run for other positions on the ballot. Any changes must be made a certain period of time prior to the September 10th primary elections.
Superintendent of Highways Michael Farrell, a former Democrat, was elected to office in 2009 on the Republican and Conservative tickets. It appears that he will enjoy the support of both major parties in the 2013 elections.
The Peru Gazette will publish interviews with all the candidates prior to the November elections.
