Owens to hold Telephone Town Hall tomorrow – All questions are welcome; sequestration, jobs and economy likely topics
WASHINGTON—Tomorrow night Congressman Bill Owens will speak with constituents during a live telephone town hall. The call is part of the congressman’s ongoing effort to connect with constituents across the more than 16,000 square miles of New York’s 21st Congressional District. Congressman Owens will give a short update on events in Washington as they relate to the Farm Bill, immigration reform and sequestration followed by live questions asked by constituents. The event will occur tomorrow evening from 7:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
“The best way to represent my constituents in Congress is to hear directly from them about the issues they feel are important,” Congressman Bill Owens said. “Telephone town halls are as informative for me as they are for participants and I encourage all who can participate to join me on the call. I am looking forward to the discussion.”
Tonight, a random sample of residents in New York’s 21st Congressional District will receive an invitation by telephone to participate in tomorrow’s conference call. Additionally, anyone from the 21st District can request an invitation in the follow ways:
