Town and Fire Department budget process explained
During the next few weeks New York’s towns will be preparing their 2014 fiscal year budgets. Peru Town Supervisor Peter Glushko was kind enough to give the Peru Gazette a copy of two articles which recently appeared in the Association of Towns magazine. One article is titled “Town Budget Process” and the other is titled “Legal FAQ’s.” They include good descriptions of budget deadlines, budget preparation responsibilities and tax cap requirements.
