Approximately 20 volunteers planted about 225 trees this morning at Heyworth/Mason Park. The goal was to prevent or reduce river erosion. Turnout Very High For A Primary

Registered Republicans and Democrats were lined up at noon to vote in the Presidential Primary when polls opened at the St. Augustine’s Parish Center. Voting continues until 9 p.m. The Peru Gazette will be there when the votes are counted. We’ll post the Peru results as soon as possible.
