Volunteers Needed
A date and time have been set and volunteers are needed to plant trees in Heyworth/Mason Park. Anyone willing to help should report to the park this coming Saturday, April 30th at 9 a.m. Over 200 trees will be planted near or on the banks of the Little Ausable River. The goal is to prevent or reduce riverbank erosion. All necessary tools will be provided.
The Department of Environmental Conservation is providing the trees at no charge to the Town of Peru. The Clinton County Soil Conservation District is coordinating the program. If you have questions, please call Adele Douglas at 643-7863.
