Peru Highway Paving Plans Specified

The Peru Highway Department plans to pave a little over 3 miles of highway this summer. At the Peru Town Board Meeting of April 25, 2016 Highway Superintendent Michael Farrell said the roadways would include: McDonald Place, Birchwood Drive, LaFlure Lane, Maplewood Drive, Paine Street and a portion of the Patent Rd.
NYS Community Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) monies of $214,015 will pay for the paving. Farrell said highway paving costs approximately $60,000 per mile.
