Fall Happenings at Peru Community Church
New and exciting things are happening around the church! Pastor Peggi Eller has been with us since July 1, and we are all learning together, sharing ideas, and visioning for the future. We invite you to join in worship Sundays at 8 – 8:40 am (a streamlined, slightly shorter service) or 10:30 -11:30 am (with choir and additional hymn). Fellowship time follows both services, with Sunday School classes for all ages from 9:15-10:15 am. The adult study, led by Pastor Peggi, covers a unique topic each week.
The Jamaica team is finalizing plans for the mid-January mission. We are readying for the holidays by assembling Thanksgiving baskets and pie baking/selling – order by Nov. 13 (Ladies’ Guild), sharing a Veterans’ Day/Nov. 11 potluck supper (all invited, hosted by the Christian Fellowship committee), the annual fruit sale for Texas-grown oranges and grapefruits – order by Nov. 20 for delivery before Christmas. Special Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. Singers are practicing for community Christmas caroling on Dec. 4 and the choir’s Christmas Cantata on December 11th at the 10:30 am service.
All are invited to join with us during this blessed holiday season. Questions? Please contact the church office or Pastor Eller at 518-643-8641, pcc8641@verizon.net, or www.perucommunitychurch.com. Like us on Facebook!
