Six Peru Political Positions Up For Election this Year
Peru – The terms of office for several of Peru’s elected officials come to an end this year. Over the next few weeks the Republican and Democratic parties will meet to either nominate incumbents or introduce new nominees to the political scene. The Democrats have announced that they will caucus on June 29th at 7. p.m. at the Peru Town Hall.
The open positions include:
The four-year town council seats currently held by Republican Donald McBrayer and Democrat Jim Douglass
The four-year town supervisor position currently held by Republican Peter Glushko
The four-year town justice position currently held by Democrat Jim Kirby
The four-year superintendent of highways position currently held by Republican Michael Farrell
The four-year town clerk/tax collector position currently held by Republican Kathy Flynn
