Approved Minutes of the Peru Town Board’s September 10, 2018 Meeting
The regular meeting of the Peru Town Board was held on Monday September 10, 2018 at the Peru Town Hall. Those present were Mr. Brandy McDonald Supervisor; Mr. James Douglass, Councilman; Mr. James Langley, Councilman; Mr. Melvin Irwin, Councilman; Mrs. Dianne Miller, Town Clerk. Also present were Mr. Courtney Tetrault, Water/Sewer Superintendent; Mr. Michael Farrell, Highway Superintendent; Mr. Bob Guynup, Zoning Officer; Ms. Pamela Barber, Confidential Secretary to the Board and Mr. Dave Drollette, Dog Control Officer.
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 PM by Mr. McDonald, with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Mr. Douglass, seconded by Mr. Irwin to approve the minutes from the August 27, 2018 meeting. Ayes 4 Nays 0 Motion Carried
Motion by Mr. Langley, seconded by Mr. Irwin to include the reports from the following departments into the official record of tonight’s meeting. (Water/Sewer/Valcour; Highway; Town Clerk; Dog Control; Youth Department; Code/Zoning; Supervisor’s Report; Court; Website; and Banking Reports). Ayes 4 Nays 0 Motion Carried

Vac Truck Repair
Mr. Tetrault stated the truck was transported to Goshen, N.Y. September 2, 2018.
The extent of repairs and cost of repairs are not yet determined.

Other Business
Mr. Langley stated the schoolhouse located on Lyons Road needs repair. The cost would be approximately $ 7500.00 to have the building primed and painted. Ron Allen will have a written estimate for the September 24, 2019 meeting.
Mr. Guynup stated alternates were needed for the planning and zoning boards. Also a building permit is required when homeowners convert to natural gas.
Mr. McDonald stated grass is reseeded within 2 weeks after installation of the natural gas line.
Mr. Tetrault stated the electrical switch over is complete at the Bear Swamp Pump Station.
Mr. Farrell states the highway crew is working on the salt shed, third round of mowing and guardrails.
Mr. Irwin asked if cameras were installed at Lapham Mills Park. Mr. Tetrault stated they are in and ready to be installed. No vandalism has been reported.
