The Clinton County Historical Association Announces
“The Fight for Women’s Suffrage . . and what they never told us”
Monday, December 17, 3:30 pm
At Lake Forest Senior Living Community
8 Lake Forest Drive, Plattsburgh, NY
Penny Clute, former Plattsburgh City Judge, Press Republican columnist, a student of local history, and accomplished photographer, will present “The Fight for Women’s Suffrage” on Monday, December 17, at the Lake Forest Senior Living Community at 3:30 pm.
Women in the United States and abroad fought many years for the right to vote and most of their battles are unknown to us today. This presentation will tell of their struggles, their successes, their torments, and their final victory.
Please join the Clinton County Historical Association (CCHA) and the Lake Forest Senior Living Community for this special presentation in honor of those women whose bravery and perseverance gave women throughout the United States the right to vote in 1920.
