3-Plex Planned For Elm Street

Peru – This fall Peru residents should see a new three-unit apartment under construction at 58 Elm St. The Peru Planning Board approved conceptual plans for the property at at Wednesday, March 11, 2020 meeting. Magnolia Properties owner Allen Turner told the Board that he would comply with all town requirements including covering any costs incurred by the Town related to a culvert and a catch basin.
Turner’s plan envisions a two-story building with three 900 square foot, two-story apartments, plus a one-vehicle garage for each unit. Turner said construction will begin this fall. He will have to present more detailed plans to the Code Enforcement Officer for issuance of a building permit.
Turner has been developing residential properties in Peru since 2001. He owns a duplex on Elm St., a 4-unit building on Davey Drive and four duplexes on the Dashnaw Rd. Turner and his cousin Bill Sawyer also developed the twenty-two newest homes on Washington St.
