August 28th COVID-19 Report: Lab-conformed positive +3, Probable +1, Active +4, Tested +267
Here are today’s Clinton County, NY COVID-19 case updates.
Q: If I travel to a state on the quarantine list, but it is removed from the quarantine list while I am there, do I have to quarantine upon my return to NYS?
A: Yes, if a traveler was in a state at any time during the time period in which the state was on the quarantine list, they MUST quarantine upon return even if the state is taken off of the travel-quarantine list by the time that they return, per NYS guidance. Learn more and see the full list of states and territories subject to the travel advisory at https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory.
Q: Why does Clinton County COVID-19 case data reported by NYS differ from data reported by CCHD?
A: Case updates provided directly by CCHD on our social media pages are the most accurate numbers for Clinton County, NY. Clinton County data reported by NYS (on the NYS COVID-19 Tracker, found here: https://on.ny.gov/2ZLqPOE) sometimes include cases who do not currently live in Clinton County and sometimes does not include cases who do live here but are tested out of state or for other miscellaneous reasons. The NYS COVID-19 Tracker does not credit the county transferring a case to the appropriate county- so the numbers will not change to reflect the actual current county data. In addition, updates to data by CCHD and on the NYS Tracker may not occur at the same time.
Note: The next Clinton County COVID-19 case updates will be shared on Monday, August 31.
