Clinton County Sept. 23rd COVID-19 Report: Lab-confirmed positive +1, Recovered +1, Active +0, Tested +381
Here are today’s Clinton County, NY COVID-19 case counts.
CCHD has received numerous calls from residents asking if they should be tested for COVID-19. Not everyone needs to be tested for COVID-19, including close contacts of confirmed positive cases (individuals placed on quarantine). To determine if you should be tested for COVID-19, contact your health care provider. In addition, your local health department may notify you when testing is recommended. A negative test result before the end of a 14-day quarantine period does not rule out possible infection. Your 14-day quarantine must still be completed.
We understand that residents may be worried about how recent cases may impact their families. We are aware that many rumors are circulating throughout our community. Be cautious of information that does not come directly from a trusted source. If you are a close contact of a known positive case, you will be contacted by your local health department.
Residents are reminded that everyday health habits are key in stopping the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Wear a mask, keep physical distance (6 feet) from others, wash your hands frequently, and stay home when you are sick.
