Peru – October 11th marked the 244th Anniversary of the Battle of Valcour, one of the American Revolution’s first naval battles. The Saranac Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Valcour Battle Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) commemorated the battle at the Peru Dock, overlooking the battle scene.
