Assemblyman Jones: Expand Vaccine Eligibility To All New Yorkers
“After visiting local vaccination sites and hearing from so many of my constituents who want the vaccine but are not yet eligible, it is clear that the state vaccination distribution network is working efficiently and is prepared to open eligibility for all New Yorkers. While it is great that eligibility expanded this week, many people in the North Country were still excluded from this list including many essential workers. While critics may be calling for the federal government to take control of vaccine distribution, I believe that New York, particularly the North Country, already has a vaccination distribution plan in place that is working hard to ensure that all who wish to be vaccinated are able to do so. With so many vaccine appointments available throughout the North Country, it is time for the Governor to open the eligibility to any North Country resident who is ready and willing to receive the vaccine.”
