Stefanik Reacts to Biden’s Executive Orders
Washington – Today President Joseph Biden directed the Justice Department to write a new rule for so-called “ghost guns,” firearms that are sold in kits that can be assembled at home. Ghost guns generally do not have serial numbers, and there’s no federal requirement for buyers to undergo a background check, making the proliferation of such weapons nearly impossible to track.
Biden would tighten regulations on stabilizing braces, which allow users to turn pistols into short-barreled rifles without having to disclose them as such.
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik issued this response: “I have always and will always stand up for the Second Amendment because our constitutional right to keep and bear arms is fundamental to preserving our liberty. President Biden’s series of gun grab executive orders are unconstitutional and bypass the will of Congress and the American People.”
“President Biden and the House Democrats’ anti-2nd amendment agenda is unconstitutional and infringes on the rights of law-abiding citizens in the North Country and across America.”
