Town of Clinton Cemetery Tour – Saturday, October 2nd, 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
The Clinton County Historical Association and Town of Clinton Historian Rebecca LeClair will be hosting a cemetery tour on October 2nd.
The tour will start at the original Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery at the intersection of Clinton Mills Rd and State Route 189, proceed to the second Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, followed by the Frontier Cemetery concluding with lunch at Dick’s Country Store. Town Historian Rebecca LeClair will be leading the tour and providing attendees with intriguing historical information about each site. Dick’s Country Store is on the Traditional Arts in Upstate New York (TAUNY) list of very special places.
The handouts will include site guides, brief cemetery histories, and instructions on how to safely clean cemetery stones. Handouts and lunch are included with the registration fee of $15.
