Redistricting Commission to hold nearby public hearing Oct. 27
The NY State Independent Redistricting Commission (IRC) is a bipartisan commission tasked with drawing our state’s district lines based on the results of the 2020 census. The IRC will be holding a public meeting to hear about our community’s needs and desires as they relate to district lines.
This is no small thing. District lines and district size have a huge impact on our representation, funding, and opportunities. If you have something to share with the IRC and/or if you’d like to hear what is being said about this topic, please consider attending the local meeting later this week.
The meeting will be held at E. Giltz Auditorium on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus on Wednesday, Oct 27th, at 4 pm. Registration for the meeting ends today at 4 pm.
