Stefanik Votes Against Raising Debt Limit
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik voted against Democrats’ effort to raise the nation’s debt ceiling by $2.5 trillion.
Last Friday, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released a report on the true cost of President Biden’s “Build Back Better” Act, which would cost Americans $4.9 trillion and add over $3 trillion to the national debt.
In August, Stefanik joined over 100 of her Republican colleagues in writing a letter opposing increasing the debt ceiling.
