The Canadian license plates are crossing the borders and filling parking lots! We could not be happier to welcome our neighbors to the north back to the area and back to using Plattsburgh International Airport (PBG) for their travel needs!
Just the other day, Canadian license plates made up 78.7% of the cars in the parking lot of Plattsburgh International Airport:
Quebec Plates: 234 (76.7%)
Ontario Plates: 6 (2%)
New York Plates: 31 (10.2%)
Vermont Plates: 24 (7.8%)
Misc. Plates: 10 (3.2%)
Car numbers at the Champlain border crossing are positive too! In May 2022 crossings were about 70% of the May 2019 numbers – a strong re-start from almost zero during the border closing in May 2020 and 2021.
