Peru – Main water transmission line break results in widespread water outages
Peru – The Peru Water Department reports a main water transmission line break on Elm Street. There is no water at the Peru School, LaFleur Lane, Washington St., or other streets. All users are expected to be affected eventually.

Abortion by pill rose in 2020, Vermont data shows
The Vermont Department of Health reported 1,227 abortions in the state in 2020. That’s about 200 abortions per 1,000 live births, compared to 170 per 1,000 in 2019 — a slight uptick after years of decline. Click here for the VTDIGGER story
