Abortion by pill rose in 2020, Vermont data shows

The Vermont Department of Health reported 1,227 abortions in the state in 2020. That’s about 200 abortions per 1,000 live births, compared to 170 per 1,000 in 2019 — a slight uptick after years of decline.
