Dog and noise issues among topics at Monday’s Town Board Meeting
By Donald McBrayer
The Town Board held its regular meeting on Monday, June 13th. Town Supervisor Peter Glushko informed the board that complaints have been received related to both the new dog control and noise ordinances. He said, “There are a lot of big dogs running loose, and the SPCA is having a tough time boarding them all.” Dog Control Officer Kelly Allen has been instructed to issue tickets to anyone whose dog is picked up. Code Enforcement Officer Frank Slycord will be handling noise complaints during town business hours and he has been instructed to issue tickets to violators. Glushko reminded the Board that the State Police or Sheriff Department should be contacted in the event Mr. Slycord is unavailable. “Now it’s time to see if these laws have teeth,” Glushko said.
