Valehaven resident turns 106

The staff at Valehaven Home for Adult in Peru hosted a special birthday party today. Lena Martin, a Valehaven resident for the past four years, celebrated her 106th birthday.  Lena’s son-in-law Donald Gratto was on hand to congratulate Lena. Lena and her husband Arthur lived in Keeseville. Gratto married Lena’s daughter Shirley in 1947. The Valehaven staff said Donald Gratto is an attentive son-in-law, visiting Mrs. Martin two or three times a week.
