The Gazette’s progress to date
By John T. Ryan
The Peru Gazette made its online debut on September 17, 2008. Between October 16th (the day we started counting) and November 30th the Gazette was visited 3060 times (about 67 visits daily) by 1,041 visitors. The site was viewed in ten countries and thirty-seven states.
I thank everyone for your readership and your favorable comments. While the Gazette is off to a good start, its long-term success depends on more people sharing their talents with our readers. The Gazette needs more input in the form of stories, story ideas, photographs and comments on issues. Our community is filled with talented, knowledgeable people and the Gazette could be a great way for them to share their talents and educate our readers. Your suggestions on how to improve the site are also very important.
If you’d like to comment on a specific story simply enter your comments in the area provided at the end of each story. If you’d like to submit a story, photographs or make general comments about any issue please email editor@perugazette.com. As long as your comments meet our guidelines for good taste, etc., they will be posted under the “Comments Received” heading on the homepage. All comments must include the writer’s complete name.
Again, thank you for your support and would you be kind enough to forward this email/story to anyone whom you think might be interested in Peru Gazette.
