The Clinton County Board of Elections has certified the November 4, 2008 elections. Family Court Judge, Peru native and resident Timothy Lawliss was Peru’s biggest vote-getter. President-Elect Barrack Obama also did very well in our community.
The Gazette is publishing the vote totals in Peru’s five election districts along with the county-wide vote totals. We are not publishing write-in votes or votes in the uncontested races. The total number of votes in the Supreme Court Judge race was very high because voters could vote for three candidates. Key: D – Democrat; R – Republican; I – Independent; C – Conservative; WP – Working Families Party (Election results)
