Peru Town Hall hit by break-in

December 22, 2011 – Peru’s break-in wave escalated in the last twenty-four hours when intruders broke into the Peru Town Hall. Peru Gazette reporter Don McBrayer reports that someone entered the building by prying the back door open. Once inside, they rifled through items in the reception office and entered the office of Town Clerk Kathy Flynn after breaking open the door. Several files drawers were opened. It is not known if anything is missing. New York State Police are on the scene investigating. The Gazette will have more news as it develops.
