Christmas music filled the air this weekend in Peru and Keeseville
The spirit of Christmas arrived as concertgoers filled St. Augustine’s Church on Saturday, December 15, 2012 for the Keeseville-Peru Ecumenical Choir’s 47th Annual Christmas Concert. Jeanette Woodruff directed the 73-member choir. The accompanist was Carol Bachand and the organist was Steve Woodruff. Rev. Robert Svenson welcomed everyone and Rev. Alan Shnob delivered the Christmas Message. A minute of silence and prayer was offered for the Newtown, Connecticut shooting victims.
The Choir surrounded the audience to sing its opening song, “O Come, All Ye Faithful.” Sixteen songs, all well received by the large crowd, followed. The Choir’s rendition of “O Holy Night” received the loudest applause. The Choir presented another performance on Sunday, December 16th at St. John the Baptist Church in Keeseville.
