Highlights of School Board’s April agenda released
Peru Central’s Board of Education is set for the full range of monthly business at its regular meeting, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 6 PM at the community room, adjacent to the high school’s main entrance. An executive session associated with collective bargaining and the performance history of particular employees will take place immediately following the 6 PM start. The school board is slated to reconvene for public session business at 7 PM. It’s anticipated the school board will:
- Welcome the president of the ‘Varsity Club’, as part of the monthly report on extra- curricular student activities, leadership development and service;
- Offer appreciation to various community businesses and citizens who donated this school year to the Peru CSD College Advancement Program Scholarship Fund, assisting eligible Peru High School students with dual-enrollment tuition payments to Clinton Community College;
- Consider the proposed 2009-2011 professional development plan which was collaboratively constructed by the staff development committee;
- Complete a second reading and adopt an updated 5000 section [students] recommended by the School Boards Association and ‘fine tuned’ at Peru Central as part of the comprehensive updating of the district policy manual;
- Consider the proposed 2009-2010 calendar of public reporting at Peru Central;
- Attend to the full range of monthly school district governance and finance matters.
