300 turn out for 1st annual Randy Duprey Scleroderma Walk/Run
By John T. Ryan
It was a beautiful Sunday morning in Beekmantown with over three hundred walkers and runners turning out to support the first annual Randy Duprey Sclereroderma Walk/Run. Duprey died on January 6, 2009, at age twenty-six, a victim of the chronic auto-immune disease for which there is no treatment. Money raised from the walk run will be given to the Scleroderma Foundation. Money raised from the food sales and other fund-raising at the event will be given to two local women who suffer from the disease. The Press Republican carried an earlier story on the event.
