North Country Chamber of Commerce Reports that Canadian Visitations are Up
Stats for January – September 2019 tell a very positive story about our continued attraction of Canadian visitors via the Champlain/Lacolle border crossing over the last two years.
Compared to 2017:
Canadian day trippers UP 6.45%!
Canadians spending one night UP 3.56%!
Canadians spending two or more nights UP 6.2%!
The region has built a special bond with Quebec and continues to grow that relationship in several ways including implementing an effective marketing effort through our Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau, a division of the North Country Chamber of Commerce; we are thrilled that it is working.
Kristy Kennedy, VP, Marketing at the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau and North Country Chamber of Commerce, as well as The Tourism Promotion Agency for Clinton County via I Love NY, states, “these are welcome numbers. They speak highly of the marketing programs we are implementing daily and show our strong relationship with our Canadian visitors. I could not be more pleased to see this strong showing.”
