Request for Artifacts for New Exhibit
“…if you have small artifacts from Land of Make Believe, Santa’s Workshop, StoryTown or Gaslight Village that you would be willing to lend for an exhibit, we want to talk.”
The Clinton County Historical Association invites County residents to be part of a new exhibit showcasing the many talents of Arto Monaco. Arto was born in 1913 and passed from this world in 2003. He left his mark in many places and on many projects. The Clinton County Historical Museum is the proud owner of a wonderful diorama by Arto Monaco depicting the Battle of Plattsburgh and the Battle of Valcour. In addition to the diorama, the Museum would like to highlight Arto’s work on local amusement attractions in our area. Exhibit coordinator Carol Arnold asks “if you have small artifacts from Land of Make Believe, Santa’s Workshop, StoryTown or Gaslight Village that you would be willing to lend for an exhibit, we want to talk. We are looking for things like postcards, brochures, small figurines, glasses, etc. All items will be returned when the exhibit closes, and you will be noted as the contributor in the exhibit.”
The Museum will accept items through the month of July. Please call CCHA at 518-561-0340 or email your artifact description to director@clintoncountyhistorical.org. We look forward to exhibiting a treasure you may have.
