Plattsburgh, NY- Healing Grace Center for Hope and Healing is expanding their services thanks inpart to a grant from the Foundation at CVPH. The Foundation has awarded Healing Grace a Community Project Grant in support of their new program designed to support women going through early miscarriage.This program provides medical supplies and comfort items to women experiencing miscarriage at home.

A miscarriage is a pregnancy loss prior to 20 weeks gestation. It is often a time of many emotions and overwhelming physical symptoms. With this grant and new program Healing Grace with the Foundations support provides guidance and support during this extremely difficult process. In addition to medical supplies and a comfort item the kits contain a booklet explaining what the woman will experience physically and validate all the emotions they may be facing. We are also working with R.W. Walker Funeral home to provide biodegradable containers to bury the baby’s remains.

The Foundation’s grant has provided the means to get this program off the ground and reach a community of women that need all the support, love and grace. We all need to know we are not alone when we have in the depths of our most painful moments.
