Thursday, September 28, 6:45 pm. The Extraordinary Life of Champlain’s Jehudi Ashmun (1794 – 1828) with Helen Nerska. Born and raised in Champlain, New York, Jehudi Ashmun went on to help the American Colonization Society successfully establish Liberia. The story of his journey to that ultimate success is the story of the development of an extraordinary man.
