Rep. Owens to Host Plattsburgh Town Hall Meeting
WASHINGTON – Congressman Bill Owens announced today that he will hold a community forum on Saturday, May 22nd at Plattsburgh State. SUNY Plattsburgh President John Ettling will begin the event by welcoming Congressman Owens to campus. Congressman Owens will deliver brief remarks, then answer direct questions from constituents in attendance. All constituents from New York’s 23rd Congressional District are asked to attend.
“After a fast-paced first few months in office, I am glad to have the opportunity to meet with a large group of Upstate New Yorkers and discuss the many issues that face our area,” Owens said. “In recent weeks, I have introduced several pieces of legislation that are critical to our goal of paying down our debt and creating jobs, and I am looking forward to getting feedback on this legislation.”
The forum will be held in room 200 of the Yokum Communications Lecture Hall on the campus of SUNY Plattsburgh. Those not able to attend the meeting in Clinton County are still able to contact Congressman Owens at his congressional offices or at http://owens.house.gov <http://owens.house.gov> .
