NYSDOT TO CLOSE I-87 IN AREA OF BEAR SWAMP ROAD – RTE 442

News Release from NYSDOT received at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, September 15, 2010

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will be changing the traffic pattern on I-87 in the area of Bear Swamp Road in Clinton County on September 20.

Please be advised that Interstate 87 Southbound will be closed at Exit 35 on Monday, Sept 20 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  An on-site detour using the Exit 35 southbound exit and entrance ramp will be utilized during this period.

Please be further advised that Interstate 87 Northbound will be closed on Tuesday, Sept 21 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  An on-site detour using the Exit 35 northbound exit and entrance ramp will be utilized during this period.

Flaggers will be utilized to control traffic at the detour intersection on Rte. 442 (Bear Swamp Rd) for both days.
